ED CERIER
Ed Cerier was Vice President and Account Supervisor at Campbell Mithun in Minneapolis. Ed’s advertising clients over the years have included Campbell’s Soup, Citibank, FedEx, FedEx Kinko’s, General Mills, Interstate Bakeries (Hostess and Wonder Bread), Johnson & Johnson and Land O’Lakes. Ed Cerier has been a marketing professional for over 25 years.
Cerier ran Marketing Works, a strategic consultancy, for seven years. Services included branding and positioning, developing and executing marketing and communications plans, and creating and executing new-business programs. He consulted to clients in a variety of industries, including non profits, banking, financial services, design, legal, medical, computer consulting and manufacturing. His clients included the American Academy of Pediatrics, Commerce Bank, Hedstrom/Blessing Design, Osborn Medical, Pfizer, 3M, West Group and Xcel Energy.
Ed has also been a teacher. He’s on the adjunct faculty of Metropolitan State University and the University of St. Thomas Graduate School of Business, and he’s been a guest lecturer at the University of Minnesota and Bethel College. He taught marketing management to M.B.A. candidates in Taiwan in the summer of 2004.
Ed has worked at Hanley Wood Marketing, a direct marketing agency, and three advertising agencies: BBDO and Lowe & Partners, both in New York, and Campbell Mithun, Minneapolis, where he was a Vice President and Account Supervisor.
Ed has won a Clio and two Effies; a commercial for Hostess won Best of Show at the Golden Marbles Show (honoring advertising to kids); and the same commercial was a finalist at the Cannes International Ad Festival.
Cerier earned his MBA in marketing from New York University and his BA in history and English from Ithaca College.
